My father moved here in 1950 ish and was Sergeant in charge of Wynnum police station until his death. My Mum lived in Wynnum until her passing in 2006 and shortly thereafter I moved to Manly. I have never in my life said to anyone that I live in Wynnummanly, and I expect that that is the same for anyone else living in Wynnum or Manly. A change of name just because is a ridiculous idea.
